Reaching
our fund raising goal is critically important this year,
as we “do our best” to make sure the Girl Scout
program is accessible to all girls.
We know many individuals, families and businesses
are struggling economically.
And, we know that a growing number of Girl Scouts
are experiencing the fun, friendship and power of girls
together. Their
learning and growth must continue through good times and
bad.
To
demonstrate your belief in the value of Girl Scouting,
please make your generous contribution today and add to
the Girl Power in our community.
There are
a variety of ways to contribute to Girl Scouts listed to
the left – become a pledge member of the Girl
Power Multi-Year Giving Society, attend the annual
auction, give an in-kind
donation or participate in a planned
giving option.
Other
ways to contribute are to participate in an “Ask
Event”. An
“Ask Event” is a free one-hour breakfast/luncheon
event where guests/donors are invited to hear the Girl
Scout story. While
there is no admission fee for this event, guests/donors
come knowing they will be asked to make a donation to Girl
Scouts.
Our next
breakfast “Ask Event” – Strong Girls Build Strong Futures is scheduled for Thursday, August
26, 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Girl Scout Program/Training
Center, 1931 Dorrie Lane, Memphis.
This event will feature Girl
Scout Champion Ethel Sengstacke, News Director for WREG TV
Channel 3 News.
You are
invited to hear a former Girl Scout tell her story about
the impact Girl Scouting has made on her life and career.
For more information about attending this event,
contact the fund
development director.
Whether
you make a one time gift or a multi-year gift/pledge, we
thank you for investing in Girl Power.
