2004 Annual Meeting - Thursday, December 2, 2004

Location:     Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center

                   3663 Appling Road, Bartlett, TN (directions below)

Time:          6:00 - 6:45 p.m.     Registration and Complimentary Buffet

                   7:00 - 8:30 p.m.     Meeting

Come and enjoy a lite buffet and meet and greet old and new friends before the meeting

This meeting is open to all registered adults and girl members, 14 years of age and older, as well as guests.

Uniforms are appropriate, but not required.

 

Driving Directions to Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center

Route 1 - Take Germantown Parkway North past Wolfchase Mall. Go to the first TRAFFIC LIGHT past Stage Road (Hwy 64) and take a left on Brother Blvd. Continue down Brother until you reach a 4-way stop sign at Appling Road. Make a right and go approx 30 seconds. BPACC is located on the left.

Route 2 - Take Interstate 40 East to Exit 15B (Appling Road North). Go North on Appling straight thru 2 Traffic Lights. At the second traffic light Appling Road changes name only to become Brother Blvd. Continue north on Brother Blvd. Until you reach a 4-way stop sign. Make a left at that stop sign which will put you back onto Appling Road. BPACC is located on the left approx another 30 seconds.

Route 3 - Take Summer Avenue northeast past Stage Road. Make a right at the first TRAFFIC LIGHT past Stage Road (Appling Road). BPACC is located on the right almost immediately.

National Council Delegates

Do you like being a part of a large, diverse group? Are you excited about the political conventions? Are you dedicated to serving the interests and needs of girls? Here's your chance to be part of the democratic process that governs Girl Scouts of the USA.

Girl Scout Council of the Mid-South's Nominating Committee is seeking applications from members ages 14 and older who are interested in being a National Council Delegate for the next triennium - Dec. 2004-2007. We expect to have six or seven delegate positions to represent this council in the national governance process.

Small Craft Safety Training

We are offering Small Craft Safety on Tuesday, November 23rd at the Jewish Community Center from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.  Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and have already completed Fundamentals of Canoeing.  The cost is $10 without the SCS training manual and $ 18 with the SCS training manual.  Freddi Felt is the training instructor.  Anyone interested in registering for this training class should contact Ruth Allen, 767-1440, ext.224.

 

2004 Woman of Character Award

Girl Scout Council of the Mid-South is seeking nominations for its annual Woman of Character Award. This award recognizes women who embody the principles of the Girl Scout Movement and are role models for girls and young women. Girl Scout Kamp Kiwani Reunion & Cookie Sale

March 13 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • In booth # 1025, Girl Scout Cookies are being sold to raise money to replace the swimming dock at Girl Scout Kamp Kiwani. For more information contact Kay McFarland.

  • On March 28 from 12:00 - 12:45 p.m. teen Girl Scouts are participating in "Uniquely Me" by STUDIO 2B Fashion Show. For more information contact Cheryl Green.

 

Girl Scout Kamp Kiwani - 2004 Resident Camp Schedule

Summer is on its way! Start making your plans to experience exciting adventures, new friends and fun at Girl Scout Kamp Kiwani.

Session dates and costs are listed below. Due to popular demand, we have extended the length of each camp session. Camp will start Sunday afternoon and conclude Saturday morning. Girls and their families select a session(s) appropriate for the camper based on dates and length of stay.

The 2004 Girl Scout Kamp Kiwani Resident Camp brochure will be mailed to currently registered girls and leaders. It will give details about activities available at resident camp. If you do not receive your brochure by March 31, call 901-767-1440, or download it from our Web site.

Registration will begin April 7.
