The Council Shop accepts cash, troop and personal checks, and MasterCard and Visa. You may also place special orders for items in the current Girl Scout catalog through the Council Shop (allow three weeks).

• You may return or exchange current merchandise; please retain your receipt for this purpose.

• Purchases at the shop help support services provided by our council.

• The Council Shop is the only authorized agency for the purchase of earned awards.

In order to be exempt from being charged sales tax for Girl Scout troop/group materials in the Girl Scout Council Shop, each troop/group must present, or have on file, a Tennessee Sales Tax Exemption certificate and make purchases with a troop/group check or check card with the troop/group number on it.

What’s New in the Council Shop

A new Girl Scout year is starting; with it comes the need for uniforms and books. The Council Shop stocks a supply of books, insignia, and uniforms for all age levels, including selected uniform pieces for adults.

New for Fall 2004…

For Adults:

• New age level leader pins. These are official and worn on the right side of the uniform.

For Teen Girls:

• New Focus Books with accompanying charms: "Parks Matter," "Mind Your Own Business," "Don’t Sweat It," "Making Waves," and "On the Money, Cookies & More."
• STUDIO 2B has expanded to include the Leadership, Career Exploration and the Girl Scout Silver and Gold Awards.

Junior Age Level:

• New t-shirt and elastic headbands; and a new cookie badge called "Cookie Biz."

Brownie Age Level:

• Brownie Try-its are now iron-on.

• Brownies now have entirely new casual uniform options consisting of light blue sweatpants and zippered jacket with a matching t-shirt.

• Also new are hair decorations, a visor and purse.

• "Smart Cookie" is a new Try-it.
