The
front lobby area of the Girl Scout Service Center is
designed and maintained for our Girl Scout volunteers.
Bulletin
boards contain current information about upcoming Girl
Scout events and community activities that are suitable
Girl Scout outings. The Council Calendar lists all
the major Girl Scout activities taking place in the
council.
Self
service kiosks contain forms, help sheets and fliers
about upcoming Girl Scout activities and events. There is
room to sit down and browse through materials, too. A copy
machine is available for use at a nominal cost. A computer
provides volunteers with access to the Internet.
The
council has an assortment of equipment � flags,
banners, ceremony props, and camping and sports equipment
� available for troops/groups to use. Resource
materials, like books and videos, etc., are organized
by subject and located in the Resource Library in
the back of the Council Shop. Equipment and resource
materials are available for check out through the
receptionist at no cost.
Activity
Kits
Previously
offered Program Center Workshops are available as Activity
Kits. These kits have the
instructions and supplies you�ll need to conduct several
activities that will fill a troop meeting or two. Each kit
contains more ideas than you will need, so you can select
and/or modify them to suit your girls� interests and
abilities.
Activity
Kits can be checked out for up to three weeks. Activity
Kits require a $10 refundable deposit check per kit in
addition to the $10 rental fee. Your $10 deposit check
will be held and returned to you when each kit is returned
in good condition. Activity Kits are located in the
resource library inside the Council Shop, and comes
equipped with instructions, most of the supplies and items
needed to conduct several activities for groups with up to
20 girls.

This

Bubble
Magic
Learning
science is easy when it�s this much fun. Watch as your
girls are trapped in the world of bubbles (and inside a
giant bubble themselves!) during this activity that
teaches about mixtures and solutions, bubble art, and
bubble magic!

Girl
Scouts flex their fiscal muscles and discover the
importance of money management. During this activity,
girls will earn, spend, save and invest so they can make
�cents� and experience a strong economic future.

in the Kitchen
This
activity is packed with loads of kitchen fun. Experience
cooking basics, make an edible moon, spark girls�
entrepreneurial spirit and start a mini herb garden.

There
is more fun to be had in the kitchen than just eating. So
many things we use in our daily lives have fascinating and
useful scientific properties. This Activity Kit guides you
into an intriguing world of experiments and science fun!
